Turks and Caicos Vacations

Discover the magic of the islands

Turks and Caicos is a tropical haven with soft, white-sand beaches, clear turquoise waters, and rich marine life

Turks and Caicos beckons with the allure of powdery white sands, shimmering turquoise waters, and an unmatched sense of tranquillity. Set in the heart of the Atlantic, this breathtaking chain of 40 islands and cays offers a serene retreat where time slows, and nature's beauty takes centre stage.

At the heart of Providenciales lies Grace Bay Beach, which is consistently celebrated as one of the world's finest beaches. Its soft sands and crystal-clear waters invite relaxation, while vibrant coral reefs just offshore promise unforgettable snorkelling and diving experiences. The island's underwater world is a haven for marine enthusiasts, featuring the third-largest barrier reef teeming with life.

Beyond the beaches, Turks and Caicos reveal their rich heritage and natural wonders. Grand Turk, the cultural hub, is steeped in history, with colonial-era architecture and remnants of its salt industry. Explore the National Museum, or stroll the charming streets of Cockburn Town for a glimpse into the island's storied past.

For those seeking adventure, the islands offer uninhabited cays to explore, mangrove kayaking trails, and whale-watching excursions during migration season. Indulge in a luxurious side of paradise with private yacht charters, rejuvenating spa retreats, or exclusive beachfront dining experiences.

As the sun sets, evenings in Turks and Caicos come alive with fresh seafood, vibrant local flavours, and mesmerising views. From opulent resorts and private villas to boutique hideaways, there’s an option to suit every traveller’s vision of paradise.

Whether planning a romantic escape, a family holiday, or a rejuvenating solo retreat, Turks and Caicos promises an unforgettable journey where natural beauty and effortless luxury create memories to last a lifetime.

January

January offers sunny skies and warm temperatures, perfect for beach days and exploring the islands. It’s peak season, so expect lively resorts and excellent conditions for snorkelling and diving. Whale-watching begins as humpbacks migrate past Salt Cay. Book early to secure your preferred accommodations and activities.

February

February continues the idyllic weather with balmy breezes and calm seas. It's ideal for water sports and exploring Providenciales' beautiful beaches. The whale migration is still in full swing, providing unforgettable wildlife encounters. With lower humidity and consistent sunshine, it's one of the most sought-after months to visit.

March

March brings slightly warmer temperatures and perfect conditions for island hopping or reef snorkelling. The calm, clear waters are ideal for paddleboarding and kayaking. Spring breakers may increase activity in popular areas, but the atmosphere remains relaxed, especially on quieter cays like Middle Caicos.

April

April offers a balance between peak season perks and quieter beaches as the tourist numbers begin to ease. Warm days and calm seas make it excellent for diving and fishing. It’s also a fantastic time to explore local heritage during the island's annual festivals.

May

May introduces the shoulder season, with fewer crowds and slightly hotter days. Sea conditions are still calm, making it perfect for water adventures. This is a great month to take advantage of lower rates while enjoying the islands’ stunning beaches.

June

June marks the start of summer with hotter days and occasional rain showers. The islands remain serene, with fewer visitors and excellent opportunities for diving or exploring nature trails. It's also the beginning of lobster season, so seafood lovers can indulge in fresh catches.

July

July brings warm, sunny days ideal for beach relaxation or water-based activities. The annual Turks and Caicos Music and Cultural Festival livens up the islands with local flair. While the rainy season begins, showers are brief and rarely disrupt plans.

August

August sees tropical heat and higher humidity but remains a wonderful time for water sports and secluded beach escapes. It’s one of the quietest months, offering tranquillity and lower prices. Keep an eye on the weather, as it’s the start of the hurricane season.

September

September is the peak of hurricane season, and many resorts and businesses close for annual maintenance. For those willing to visit, it’s the quietest time of year, offering a chance to enjoy uncrowded beaches and incredible deals.

October

October signals the end of hurricane season, with warm weather and occasional rain. Visitors can enjoy diving, fishing, and quieter beaches as the islands prepare for the winter rush. Whale-watching begins again, adding a unique wildlife experience.

November

November brings cooler temperatures and the start of the dry season. It’s a great time to explore the islands before peak season begins. Enjoy festive events like the annual Conch Festival, celebrating the islands’ culinary heritage with lively music and fresh seafood.

December

December welcomes the holiday season with warm weather and plenty of sunshine. As peak season kicks off, expect lively resorts and festive events. It's an excellent time for families and couples to enjoy the islands' beauty. Book early to secure the best options for accommodation and activities.

I have just returned from the most amazing trip to Tanzania, booked with Far & Wild. Everything went so smoothly from the first time I spoke with them. The planning was great, the itinerary was perfect for us, and the lodges were amazing. We spent 10 nights with an amazing guide, travelling through Northern Tanzania and even got to see the migration, which was a lifetime ambition of mine. This wasn't our first safari, so we were nervous as to how it would compare, but it was spot on. We're particularly grateful that she suggested a private 'bush lunch' in the Ngorongoro Crater as the public picnic spot was very busy! I will certainly be using them again to book our next trip....we're thinking of a relaxing beach stay next time to get over the excitement of safari!

Just back from another amazing F&W organised trip to Namibia with the family (8 adults). Having been there before, Alistair tailored our trip to include our favourite locations and added a new one for us, Okonjima Plains camp, which we loved. The quality of accommodation and guiding, activities, food and drinks was exceptional throughout. Although not inexpensive I felt it was good value for the level of luxury we had. Kwessi Dunes, Shipwreck lodge, Ongava, Okonjima with pit stops Windhoek (city tour recommended ), Swakopmund (Sandwich Harbour and Walvis Bay tour) and Grootberg lodge (best sundowner drive )

We had a wonderful trip to São Tomé and Príncipe - a small island nation in the Gulf of Guinea with paradise (almost empty) beaches and jungle forest. It was all well organised by Far and Wild and we stayed at Omali lodge at Sao Tome, then on Roca Sundy, and Sunday Praia at Principe - a great combination of different types of resorts/hotels. Omali is close to Sao Tome town with its colonial buildings, markets, hustle and bustle. Roca Sunday gives an old plantation experience and Sundy Praia a luxury beach experience. Very friendly (from time to time a bit slow) service, great fresh food, specifically if you like fish/seafood, vegetables and fruits (almost all sourced locally). Nice temperature between 23 and 30 degrees Celsius, nice swimming conditions. We really recommend this for those who want to experience a pristine destination with few other tourists and friendly and welcoming people. The islands also feel (and I believe are) very safe. At Principe, there are no dangerous animals, snakes or whatever, and it was great to be able to hike in the jungle without being very conscious of where to put your hands and feet. Go before everyone else does!

Back home again, basking in the joys of a superb safari. Every aspect you arranged for us, including linking up with Mack Air and Wild Horizons locally to transport us. The choice of camps, Camp Hwange in Zimbabwe and Muchenenje Safari Lodge in Botswana, was spot on and exactly what we had hoped for - ideally situated, comfortable, in good surroundings, and with excellent wildlife on the doorstep and throughout the wider country. The service staff in each looked after us very well, catering was excellent, and the game guides were professional, knowledgeable and helpful. The weather was, as usual for that part of the world, also good at the time of our visit. Blue skies and stunning sunsets. Warm but not too hot during the day, although quite cold at sunrise when viewing game. The viewing started. You made us happy, and we recommend you to similar safari enthusiasts with confidence.

Wow! These guys are amazing. Can’t recommend them highly enough. Friendly AND efficient! Sorted out our trip (last minute and lots of different family member needs, sorry!) in record time and everything worked like clockwork. Trip of a lifetime to the Masai Mara. Will be back (and use F&W again!)!
