That's why we're proud to partner with Play it Forward, a charity dedicated to empowering underprivileged Zambian youth through sports and education.
About Play it Forward
Play it Forward was founded with the mission of using sports as a tool for social development and personal growth. The charity operates in Southern Zambia, where it runs programs that combine athletics with academic tutoring, life skills workshops, and character-building activities.
Through their innovative approach, Play it Forward aims to provide underprivileged children and teenagers with a safe and nurturing environment, helping them develop essential life skills, stay in school, and unlock their full potential. The charity's programs have already impacted thousands of young lives, instilling values like teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.
We are delighted to have been working with Far & Wild as our charity partner since August 2023.
This partnership that has already greatly impacted the lives of thousands of children in Zambia and will continue to do so over the next few years. Every week 196 children aged 13-18 from our 5 partner schools in Livingstone are learning basic computer coding. It has been great to meet Far & Wild clients and staff both at our international events, and in Zambia at our project sites."

How you can get involved
As part of our partnership, Far & Wild donates a portion of every booking to Play it Forward, directly supporting their life-changing initiatives in Livingstone and its surrounds. But that's not all – we also offer our customers the opportunity to get involved during their travels.
When you book a trip to Zambia with us, you can choose to participate in one of Play it Forward's unique travel experiences. From viewing sports tournaments and educational workshops, to immersing yourself in local communities and learning about Zambian culture, these transformative experiences allow you to connect with the people and causes you're supporting.
Our partnership in 2025
In 2025, Far & Wild joined forces with Play it Forward to launch a special fundraising trip to Zambia built around the Victoria Falls Marathon. Led by Founder Ben Morison, a group of 30 supporters ran through one of the world’s most spectacular race routes and together raised over £25,000 for Play it Forward’s youth programmes. Alongside the marathon, the group visited local schools, met the charity’s team, and played football with young people from the programme. After such a successful first year, plans are already in motion for Run the Falls – A Charity Adventure 2026.
Our partnership in 2024
In 2023/24, we donated a total of £15,584 to Play it Forward, supporting 20 girls with a passion for learning but limited resources. Our partnership ensures these girls stay in school and progress to the next academic level, giving them a brighter future. Our support has resulted in: improved school attendance and exam performance; enhanced computer skills and basic coding knowledge; expanded career opportunities for the girls; and boosted physical health.
In addition to this, we've sent four visitors across our clients and staff to meet the beneficiaries at Play it Forward and the team on the ground in Livingstone.
