Location
Lalaria Lodge is right on the waterfront of the Indian Ocean, less than 30 miles North of Durban, South Africa, on the Dolphin Coast in KwaZulu Natal. Light and bright, spacious living areas flow harmoniously and extend outdoors with endless, captivating views of the sea, pool and garden. Lalaria offers panoramic sea and coastal views. The spacious deck overlooking the beach is the ideal place for al fresco meals, drinks and dolphin spotting - which is an almost daily occurrence! Whales too, are frequently sighted in season.

Rooms
With only 5 bedrooms, Lalaria is an exclusive retreat, elegantly decorated, but with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The five luxurious en suite guestrooms have sea or pool views. Each is delightfully furnished and has every modern facility, convenience and comfort - including air-conditioning and ceiling fan, king size bed with cool cotton percale linen, satellite television, personal safe, wifi and mini-bar. All rooms lead directly to the pool or garden and all bathrooms have a bath and separate shower. Choose the luxury of the Landlord Suite for those special occasions. Private and on its own, on the top floor of the Lodge, this huge suite has commanding 180' beach and breaker views, two large balconies and a sweeping private staircase to the Pool Terrace. Fully airconditioned, the suite offers the ultimate in luxury and comfort.

The stylish bar and poolside lounge invite guests to linger with a cocktail at sunset, while the sun-drenched deck framing sweeping sea views turns every moment into a mini escape; dolphins are an almost daily delight, and if you're lucky, you'll catch whales passing by in season.

Activities
As well as being perfectly positioned for golfers, there are many other sporting facilities in the area. Tennis, squash, bowls and horse-riding are all available as well as a fully equipped gym with instructors to guide you. Perfectly positioned to explore the St Lucia Wetlands, Big 5 reserves, Crocodile Creek, Umgeni Bird Park mountain bike trails, or see the scenery from above on a microlight flight. Shakas Rock has a lovely stretch of sandy beach with lifeguards, shark nets and tidal pools.

Sustainability
