The M/Y Sea Star Galapagos is a superior first-class motor yacht that seamlessly blends contemporary design, privacy, and comfort amidst the stunning landscapes of the Galapagos Islands.
Location
The M/Y Sea Star operates throughout the Galápagos Archipelago. The yacht explores both central and outlying islands, with daily guided landings that bring guests ashore to remote beaches, volcanic landscapes and wildlife-rich coastlines. Travelling by sea allows access to multiple islands during a single journey, maximising wildlife encounters while keeping travel time efficient and unhurried.
Rooms
Following a full renovation in 2022, the M/Y Sea Star offers eight well-appointed cabins, including a spacious suite. Cabins are modern and comfortable, each featuring panoramic windows, private bathrooms and air conditioning. The design is clean and contemporary, creating a restful space to return to between excursions. With a limited number of cabins, the atmosphere onboard remains relaxed and intimate throughout the cruise.
Facilities
Onboard facilities are designed for comfort between daily explorations. The indoor dining room serves freshly prepared meals, while outdoor dining allows guests to enjoy the sea breeze and changing island scenery. A spacious sun deck with comfortable loungers provides an ideal spot to relax, spot passing wildlife or simply take in the views. Communal areas are light and welcoming, offering plenty of space to unwind without feeling crowded.
Activities
Daily activities are varied and immersive, offering a safari-style approach to exploring the Galápagos. Guests join zodiac excursions for shore landings, exploring pristine white sand beaches and distinctive sites such as Rabida’s red sand beach. Wildlife encounters include snorkelling with sea lions, observing blue- and red-footed boobies, marine iguanas and the iconic giant tortoises. Activities also include kayaking, guided nature walks, hikes and zodiac rides, with visits to well-known locations such as Post Office Bay, Sierra Negra Volcano and Isabela Island. Time is also built in for relaxed beach visits and swimming, balancing exploration with downtime.
Sustainability
The M/Y Sea Star operates in line with Galápagos National Park regulations, with guided excursions led by a certified naturalist guide to ensure responsible wildlife viewing and environmental protection. Small guest numbers help limit impact at landing sites, while itineraries are carefully managed to reduce disturbance to fragile ecosystems.
