Location: Juma Lodge, is approximately 100km south of Manaus in the heart of the Amazon in north-western Brazil, on a Juma River peninsula. The transfer is approximately 3½-hours from either your hotel in Manaus or airport. Departing from Manaus Port, its a 45-minute boat trip over the Amazon River to Porto Careiro, passing the iconic 'Meeting of the Waters,' followed by a 1-hour overland transfer and a final 1-hour scenic motorboat trip to the lodge.
Lodge: The lodge’s 20 spacious bungalows feature palm-thatched roofs, forest and river views, and essential amenities like ceiling fans, large panoramic windows with insect screens and is elevated on sturdy wooden stilts to withstand the periodic rises of over 12 metres in water levels. Each accommodation is a comfortable retreat after a day of jungle exploration. Enjoy onto your private veranda adorned with a hammock.

Overview: Juma Lodge, is one of the more remote lodges in the region, offering a unique "in-the-middle-of-nowhere" allure. The longer 5-night packages allow guests to experience an optional night in the forest, under the stars in hammocks after dinner. Wildlife enthusiasts need not venture far, as various monkey species frequently visit the lodge, reminding guests to keep doors closed for an up-close encounter with nature.
Sustainability: Juma Lodge’s primary conservation initiative revolves around providing financial support for the restoration of the forest along the shores of Juma Lake, where our lodge is situated. In collaboration with the local non-profit organization, Eco Amazonas, they are dedicated to preserving and rejuvenating the vital ecosystems surrounding our pristine location.
