Delicious Pan African menus are served and a sparkling splash pool rejuvenates after each days’ adventures
Location: Linyanti Ebony Camp is in the remote Linyanti region of northern Botswana, on the edge of Chobe National Park and overlooking the Linyanti marshlands. This little-visited area between the Okavango and Chobe proper combines wet and dry habitats, supporting a rich variety of wildlife and game. The camp’s elevated position provides excellent views of the marshes, particularly during the dry season when animals gather around water sources.
Rooms: The camp has just four luxury tents, and its limited size provide a personal and intimate atmosphere for families or couples. One of the rooms is a family suite with two bedrooms, accommodating a maximum of ten guests. Each tent is raised on a wooden deck with a private viewing area. Rooms are comfortably furnished with king or twin beds, seating, desks, and en-suite bathrooms, some with open-air showers. The family suite has a private lounge, a large bathroom with freestanding bath, and a terrace overlooking the wetlands.
Amenities: Communal facilities include a lounge and dining area, bar, pool or plunge pool, fire pit, and an authentic boma for outdoor dining. Children’s activities are offered through the Ngwana Club, with nature walks, arts, crafts, and educational experiences.
Activities: With just four tents, every guest receives a personalised safari experience. Activities include morning, afternoon, and night 4x4 game drives, guided walking safaris, traditional mokoro excursions (water levels permitting), and birdwatching. Scenic helicopter flights are included once per stay between April and November. Children can join all activities except walking and mokoro trips, which are for ages 16 and over.
Sustainability: The camp operates within a private concession, minimising environmental impact and supporting wildlife conservation. Staff are drawn from local communities, and activities are designed to be low-impact while promoting awareness of the region’s ecology and culture.
