Our Price Promise

Essentially, our money comes directly from our partners with whom you are booking your trip, be they hotels, safari camps and lodges, activity operators, transfer companies and airlines. We negotiate rates with them annually, ensuring we receive a fair referral fee for matching you with each of the services for your trip. There is no innate bias towards certain operators or lodges and we do our negotiating at the start of each year with all fees set in advance, meaning you get fair and impartial advice as to where you stay and what you do.

Some of our partners will offer us better deals than the rack rates, as well as value-adds when you are travelling, and we pass all of these benefits on to you ensuring an extra-special holiday experience and one that is often better value for money than booking directly.

There are occasions when certain hotels, especially in large cities, are able to offer incredible special rates when booking direct, which can seem to undercut what we can offer. This is often a special offer that has been posted online by the hotel and is unavoidable but fear not…we have built solid relationships (we have been working with most places for 15 years and more in various capacities) which means we can investigate matching these rates, again ensuring you the best possible value for money but with the added security of booking with a tour operator – a must-do in such uncertain times for travel. If we cannot match the price we will of course tell you that you would be better off booking that particular hotel directly.

We also “lock-in” the exchange rate used for your trip at the time of booking, ensuring that we don’t have to tell you the holiday price as increased just as you are about to pay your final balance. The price on your confirmation invoice (unless you make any changes) is the final price you pay to us. No exceptions.

In short, we don’t make any money from you, we make it from our travel partners. This means that we will always endeavour to be as transparent about pricing as we can. Our negotiated rates are confidential and our suppliers naturally ask us not to share these but we will do all we can to make sure you are comfortable with what you are paying for.
