Big Five Game viewing on a private reserve with purpose built water level photography hide

Location
Nestled along the banks of the Kuvyename River, Indlovu River Lodge is situated near Hoedspruit, in the Karongwe Private Game Reserve (part of the greater Kruger National Park). This intimate and richly diverse 9000ha reserve in the north-east part of South Africa hosts the Big Five and an abundance of general game species as well as extraordinary bird life and has a purpose-built wildlife photography hide, which is at water level, providing excellent photographic opportunities.

Rooms
The lodge has uniquely designed villas, all of which offer a variety of layouts to cater to couples or groups. Most villas also have private pools and decks offering stunning views of the Drakensberg Mountain range.

Amenities
Each villa comes fully equipped, has it’s own private pool and boma, perfect after a day’s adventure. Then relax on your private deck while watching twilight slowly deepen into a star-filled night filled with the sounds of nocturnal animals waking up before enjoying a superb evening meal.

Activities
The beauty of Indlovu River Lodge is that you can either decide to go fully catered or for more seasoned safari goes choose a self-catering option - each villa also has it’s own braai (BBQ) facilities, perfect for sharing with great friends. Indlovu River Lodge is ideal for guests looking for a memorable bushveld getaway in the scenic province of Limpopo and then on to the Kruger National Park.

Sustainability
Beyond environmentally conscious practices like responsible water and energy usage, the reserve spans 9,000 hectares of diverse habitats, providing a sanctuary for over 350 bird species and the Big Five, contributing to the preservation of regional biodiversity. Guests are encouraged to participate in conservation efforts through educational programs and activities that highlight the importance of preserving the region's unique ecosystems.
