Garonga Safari Camp

Garonga Safari Camp is set in the Greater Makalali Private Nature Reserve west of the Kruger National Park, 90 minutes from Hoedspruit and Phalaborwa airports. The six luxury tents blend classic luxury, comfort and exceptional service, offering a relaxing natural experience in beautiful surroundings. Garonga Safari camp is ideal for those wishing for an escape from the norm, but also a fantastic adventure for those wishing to do it in style! Garonga's even smaller and more intimate sister camp is Little Garonga.

Each of the six en-suite luxury units is sculpted out of rough-plastered walls and overarching canvas tents. The tents are situated overlooking a dry riverbed, and have a wooden deck complete with hammock that commands spectacular views. The rooms are light, airy and spacious with large, draped beds, plus indoor and outdoor showers. The "Sleep Out" is a viewing deck with a four-poster bed where guests can enjoy dinner under the stars, and spend the night alone in the bush. The Bush Bath is an outdoor bath set overlooking the surrounding landscape. Enjoy a glass of wine and the sounds of the bush from the comfort of a warm bubble bath.

Activities are concentrated on the two daily game drives and walking safari. During the day there is a range of spa treatments, and space for relaxation.
