Vila do Paraiso offers numerous land and ocean-based activities, from diving and snorkelling over the colourful reefs (suitable for both beginners and experts), to horse riding, cultural tours and deep sea fishing. You definitely shouldn't miss a day of island hopping in the beautiful Bazaruto Archipelago on a ski-boat, catamaran or dhow, with a picnic or braai (bbq) set up on an island or deserted sandbar of your choice. You could easily spend a week here and still not have tried everything.
The restaurant at Vila do Paraiso is renowned for its freshly prepared seafood, including a dazzling seafood barbeque with Mozambican flavours on selected nights. Bus it's not all about fish. The chefs will happily rustle up everything from pregos (the famous Portugese steak sandwich) to pizza. Dinner is all about romance with flickering candles next to the infinity pool, and superb views of the Indian Ocean with its waves lapping gently on the shore. Oh and the sunsets are pretty magical too. They go extremely well with a poolside cocktail from the quirky bar that has been cleverly shaped like the bow of a dhow, with several fun nautical features.
