A mixture of unique and traditional Japanese sights

See the best of Japan's old and new capital cities, on this incredible Tokyo and Kyoto luxury trip.

We’ve designed this journey through Tokyo and Kyoto to immerse you in what we love most about Japan – the contrast between futuristic innovation and time-honoured tradition. This trip isn’t just about ticking off landmarks; it’s about experiencing it for its culture at the source - through flavour, ritual, art, and storytelling.

In Tokyo, you'll dive into the city’s vibrant neighbourhoods and dynamic energy. Visit the iconic Meiji Shrine before sampling street food in Shibuya, wandering through Harajuku’s pop culture playground, and standing in awe at teamLab Planets – a museum that feels like the future. One of our favourite moments? Going behind the scenes at Toyosu fish market with a sushi chef and watching your lunch come to life, one perfect piece at a time.

Then, the pace slows down in Kyoto, where ancient temples, bamboo groves, and centuries-old traditions invite reflection and wonder. We’ve included some truly special experiences – like a day trip to Nara and Fushimi, where you can walk under thousands of vermilion torii gates at Fushimi Inari and share sake at a family-run brewery. Back in Kyoto, enjoy traditional Japanese culture by dressing in a kimono or yukata for an intimate tea ceremony with a maiko performance. Perhaps most importantly, there is time for you to explore Kyoto’s narrow backstreets on a and try out the local food that Japan is so famous for!

With private guides, luxurious hotels, and effortless bullet train travel, this trip is crafted to offer rich cultural depth with seamless comfort. It’s one of our favourite ways to experience Japan – and we can’t wait to share it with you.
