Far and Wild Travel was named Tailor-Made Tour Operator Provider of the Year 2026 in the International Explorer Awards, recognising the specialist knowledge behind every tailor-made itinerary our team builds.
We were also shortlisted as a finalist for Azure Road's Best Sustainable Travel Companies and Experiences of 2026, standing among a select group of operators judged on their environmental and community impact.
CEO Ben Morison: Hall of Fame
In November 2024, our founder and CEO Ben Morison was inducted into the Global Travel and Tourism Resilience Council's Hall of Fame, recognising his impact across the travel and environmental sectors.
The induction points to four initiatives: the Flipflopi Project, a sailing boat built from recycled ocean plastic that has helped drive plastic bans in Kenya and Tanzania; Far and Wild's open-source carbon scoring framework, now used across the wider travel industry; Ride4Rangers, the cycling challenge that has raised over $500,000 to support African rangers; and Wilder Guides, Far and Wild's series of responsible travel guidebooks.

Wanderlust gave ten pages to the Trans-Serengeti Balloon Expedition, from the BBC’s Kate Humble. Travel Africa has covered our carbon scoring initiative, and The Telegraph reported on Ride4Rangers, the cycling challenge that raised over $500,000 to support African rangers.
