This itinerary combines 2 nights at Rissington Inn which is the perfect base to explore the Panorama Route. Visit the Blyde River Canyon, God's Window, the Three Rondavels and Bourke's Luck Potholes. Then head to Umlani Bushcamp for 3 nights in a family hut and 2 full days of safari. Drive through Kruger National Park to the Skukuza Restcamp for one night, before heading to Mozambique for 7 nights. 2 nights in Maputo, then 5 nights in Tofo Beach. Relax on it's beautiful beaches, or head off for some diving! It's world class.

Day 1: Outbound Flight
Check in at London Heathrow for your evening South African Airways flight departing for Johanesburg.
Day 2: Arrive in South Africa and head to Rissington Inn
Arrive into Johannesburg and transfer immediately onto the South African Airways flight departing for Kruger Mpumalanga Airport.
On arrival, proceed to the Avis Car hire desk and collect your hire car. Drive to Hazyview (45 minutes) and stay for the next 2 nights at Rissington Inn, staying in two superior rooms, with breakfast included.
Day 3: Explore the Panorama Region at your leisure
Full day to explore the Panorama Route in your own car. The Panorama Route is the collective name given for the region in Mpumalanga where spellbinding sights such as the Blyde River Canyon (the third largest canyon in the world), God’s Window, the Three Rondavels and Bourke’s Luck Potholes can be found. Most of the sights can be found along the road branching off the R532 from Graskop.
As well as all stunning scenery, the area is also home to a delightful array of wildlife, bird life and plant life. Whilst for the adrenaline junkies there is a wide range of activities such as white-water rafting, bungee jumping, gold panning and hiking.
Day 4: Umlani Bushcamp, Timbavati Private Game Reserve
After breakfast depart Hazyview and drive to Umlani Bushcamp, in the Timbavati private game reserve bordering the Kruger where you will stay for the next three nights in a family hut with all meals, drinks (soft drinks and alcohol) and safari activities.
Day 5-6: Timbavati Game Drives
Full days on safari at Umlani. Activities include 4x4 game drives, bush walks, and they also have a tree-house platform – both for use as a wildlife hide during the day and, if you are feeling adventurous, for overnight sleep-outs.
Day 7: Drive through Kruger National Park to Skukuza Rest-camp
Depart Umlani, and drive into the Kruger National park via the Orpen Gate. Continue through the park heading south to Skukuza rest-camp, game viewing as you go. Full day for Game viewing. Stay for one night in a two bedroom guest cottage on a room only basis.
Day 8: Head to Mozambique
In the morning, head south and exit the park at Malelane Gate. Here you will drop off your hire car, and be met by a driver guide, who will transfer you by road to Maputo in Mozambique, crossing the border at Ressano Garcia. This drive will take approx 4 hours.
On arrival, you will be dropped off at The Polana Hotel, where you will stay for two nights in two standard rooms in the main Polana building, with breakfast included.
Day 9 : Explore Maputo
After breakfast you will be collected at the hotel by a professional guide who will take you on a full day guided tour of the city (approx 5 hours).
Day 10 - 14: The beach awaits!
In the late morning you will collected and transferred to the airport for your Air Mozambique flight to Inhambane on the coast 500kms north of Maputo.
On arrival you will be met and transferred onto the Inhambane Peninsula heading to the beach-side town of Tofo. Here you will stay for the next five nights at Baia Sonambula Guesthouse, in two sea view rooms with breakfast included.
Full days in Tofo and exploring the Inhambane Peninsula. This area has some amazing diving and plenty of other activities and sites of interest.
Day 15: Time to head home
In the early afternoon you will be transferred to Inhambane Airport in time for the Air Mozambique flight to Maputo. Arrive Maputo and transfer immediately onto the connecting flight departing for Johannesburg. Both flights are approx 1 hour.
On arrival check in for your overnight South African Airways flight departing to London
Day 16: You're home!
Welcome home. Relax and take in the amazing past few weeks with the family. You've explored, been adventurous, and loved it!
